Man I love your videos! I worked in construction with my dad on and off for 30 years and saw some sketchy stuff from previous builders as he doesn't do new builds, mainly additions and remodels. He has an electrical background but is a bonafide jack-of-all-trades (plumbing, drywall, framing - you name it, he's done it) and master of some, so he knows quite a lot about everything and he taught me a lot from my time working with him, so when I watch your videos I'm usually shaking my head at the people who can't seem to get stuff to even minimum code.

I showed him a couple of your videos on Instagram and he winced and laughed simultaneously. He definitely loves your, "that ain't right" tagline.

Just wanted to pop in and give you props for what you do and your keen eye for holding builders to a reasonable standard.

After I started watching his short clips when I passed by a newly built home, It make's me happy to live in my home, which was built in 1987. Outside of some foundation setting (that's normal) and my receptacle installed upside down (it was code at the time) my home is solid. Yes, it was code to install outlets upside down. It was believed at the time that if water hit the grounding portion of the outlet it would safely trip the breaker. I know... There are codes in place that make no sense to me and are detrimental to that service.

Thank You, I'm retired now so I spend a lot of my time and money building my new home and surrounding buildings. Most of what I know I learned from YouTube, but of course that doesn't mean I learned the correct way to do them. So that is why I find your channel super helpful, thanks again!

This is just sad. People are idiots for buying these cardboard houses. I’m glad I know how to build things - I built my house 30 years ago and I’d put it against this new house any day!

I blame the city and/or county inspectors for allowing these builders to constantly get away with this horrible work. You have foundation, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, sheathing, roofing, on and on…I know that they are overworked and underpaid, but sub contract these inspections with competent inspectors like Gold Star Inspections….catch these builders and make them accountable…. I’m just a layman with some ideas

Every single job that I have been on for the last decade has had one motto “rush, rush, rush!”
I’m not saying that quality hasn’t gone down (cuz I sure as hell know it has) but haste has become top priority.
How do u expect workers to give a f when they are not allowed to develop into masters, and artists..
