I'd also like to advise a very effective technique: learn your favourite films by heart (or podcasts)

The first technique is actually true! I fell in love with Russell Tovey and I learnt a lot of English from him haha

We're the same, psychology is my passion too, I finished my bachelor degree of psychology in 2014.
Hopefully I can continue my education abroad. ^_^

As a gamer, joining a international gaming community and both speaking and hearing plenty of people from different nationalities, made my english improve quite a lot, be confident and fluent on a lot of conversations about diverse topics, compared with the level i had previously. I recommend this to any gamer that has a low level of english, I went from being shy and barely talking to anybody to shotcall more than 80 people in a pvp scenario.

Greetings from Spain :D

To be honest with you, these three techniques are quite fine. But, what are the things we should learn to transform ourselves from intermediate to advance speaker such as idioms, pharsal verbs? Which online source do you refer to teach us? Many many thanks for this video!

I agree sometimes we stuck at the same level

I agree! Seems that we are stuck at one certain level. I would say, in my case, that I fail in English because I do not know to pronounce many words (stressing and silent letters) and phrases construction, mainly with questions! Phrases have the end of the words, which in many cases are silent or joining the first letters of the following word!

Could you share some links of British radio channels?

I hope to put subtitles in the videos, the videos are really helpful and with subtitles would be more useful

Your tips a really great, especially the second one. :) I managed to get to C1 by replacing German radio shows with English Podcasts and German TV with English Netflix series. But now I am stuck at the C1 level... is it possible to improve from there?

Ahaha) I actually do the same thing as Harry with my English. There is a good british psycology channel called School of Life and I make russian subtitles for their videos. I was so exited, when I found out that anyone could easily make subtitles to almost any video on youtube! BTW I'd very much like to see you guys on Ted! Good luck!

I believe the best way to learn foreign language is immerse oneself in the language. But it is difficult sometimes... so, I usually watch YouTube videos of British English like REWRT, English with Lucy, Leaning English with Papa Teach Me, with reacting to them.
