On September 29th 2022, the Super Nintendo Classic celebrated its 5th birthday. So I figured now was a good time to take a look back at the system. From the game list, the longer controller cords and the inclusion of Star Fox 2, let's take a look at the highs and lows of the console and see how it holds up in 2022.

Let me know down in the comments, what your favorite game is from the SNES Classic Edition!

If you enjoyed the video, be sure to hit the thumbs up and please share the video with anyone who might enjoy it.

if there's something i love about the snes classic, it's that since you could connect the controllers to wii remotes, you can do most things you could with a classic controller, such as playing in mario kart 8's online with (granted digital turning rather than analouge turning, also granted not unlike the standard wii remote with motion controls turned off)

I really like using those controllers, not just on this little console but the Switch as well.
Thanks to the 8bitdo Gbros adapter.

NSO Is great for playing online and still growing library

But If you want a more authentic experience with a replica of the original console and controllers

When this came out It was incredible value for money where as one game cost upwards £30-£50 you can buy this console for less than that and It'll keep you entertained and two controllers included

Even If you somehow get bored of all these games you can add mortal Kombat, Aladdin, mario paint, mario all stars and way way more

Only reason I bought mine was after discovering I could mod it and add the games I played as I grew up. No regrets... I was actually just playing my SNES classic last night. The fact that it features the button that lets you save/load states as if you were on an emulator is perfect.

EDIT: Wow I only played Starfox 2 for maybe 15 minutes? Really surprised me as I enjoyed the original quite a bit and was eager to try... but damn... just goes to show how powerful nostalgia can be, as I can still play the original SNES starfox no problem, but trying to get through the sequel is torture.

I never would have guessed that it's already been five years. My boyfriend has modded his, he offered to do mine but I declined. I don't think I've ever even taken mine out of the box 😅

I laugh when you mentioned the cord extension cause Nintendo wanted to give us that nostalgia of sittting in front of the TV again. But not knowing the ones that grew up with the original SNES is getting old now and we need comfortable back support when gaming 😢😅😂😂😂 (crying while laughing at my older age)

I really wanted one but just the NES classic couldn't find one that was being scalped. So I just enjoy my retro games on a modded PS Vita and a Miyoo Mini.

One game that should have been included was the Super Nintendo version of the NES Mario games.

You have to start all the games from beginning. You can't save your progress

Going five years and not knowing the shortcut of down+select to boot back to the menu... Good video otherwise.

I don't understand why people are selling them used, you can run emulate multiple systems on it and ain't that hard to do it either.

Now the question arises is Nintendo classic mini emulator better than the original hardware
