Interesting hearing John’s rapid answers here. It seems more and more to me that we publishers and SEOs are getting hung up looking for technical solutions to content not indexing or ranking, instead of making the content really good and useful to users. The silence between the lines of John and Martin seem to be screaming “CREATE SUPERB PAGES THAT REALLY HELP USERS FIND A SOLUTION QUICKLY AND YOUR WARTS AND BLEMISHES (a few broken links, similar content, dubious load speeds, structured data issues, etc etc) WILL BE FORGIVEN”

You see it all the time. Some pages/sites don’t load that fast, and they’re even butt ugly to view, but they provide exactly what the user was looking for and quickly.

So this is the officially response from Google that the don't penalized any website if it has few bad things with many good things, in other words they don't de-rank any website if it is sharing good content & providing values to peoples ( although Its few things goes against Google guidelines)
