For those who haven’t played this game, magic playthroughs usually look like this:
Step 1: Use Magic Missile
Step 2: If enemy resists magic, use Fire Magic Missile
Step 3: There is no step 3

Since you brought up the Fat Official's outfit to access Yuria, it's worth noting you only needed to wear the Official's Cap in the original version. The full outfit does not exist in the PS3 version, just the cap. They added the rest of the set and changed the requirement in the remake.

About the miners dropping an absurd amount of stones in the second run; when you're going through that area for the first time, some of them carry sacks. They only spawn the first time and get replaced with a normal one when you kill them, but the sack ones have a guaranteed drop of several sharp and hardstone of various qualities. Hopefully this answers your question

Doing this in Elden ring you could do sorcery in ng, incantations in ng+, and finally spells that require both int and faith in ng++.

To clarify: The ring that boosts miracles and casting times actually INCREASES cast times, not the other way around

The ring of sincere prayer does indeed boost cast time, i.e. make it longer

(You can also get the talisman of beasts by killing red phantom Skirvir, who spawns in 2-2 at pure black world tendency)
