Great summary of the Buzz. The Buzz is the reason I found this channel and although I'm sad to see it go I am happy to take delivery of my own Buzz in a few days.

272 Wh/k = 435 Wh/mi. Wow that is bad for a vehicle that is not towing. It goes to show how cold can affect EVs. Love your comments during the video.

I use Kia Niro'21 with heatpump and it consumes 5 kW in -16 C for at least 10 min until interior gets warmer. Heatpump doesn't work at -16 C because it would require more energy to collect heat outside compared to just use electricity for resistance heater

Good to see it tested in harsh conditions. Comparing a bus to a car is however giving the wrong impression. Out of all electric mini vans this VW iD Buzz is still way ahead of his competitors. Bothin power consumption and range. It also has by far the best recharge time out of all vans. Conclusion: electric vans suck. But also: The VW id Buzz is still the best in his own class, by a big margin.

nice video. I've been waiting a long time in the USA for this to be available, but the more I learn about it the longer I want to keep my reliable, comfortable, fully paid for 2012 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Our everyday driver is a 2021 BMW i3s, and as much as I'd love to go 100% EV (and how cool the VW looks) the price and compromises of the idBuzz (relatively short range, expensive, less than amazing tech) don't make much sense for us. cheers

My EV experience comes from Model 3 and the Y. Got my Buzz for almost about a year ago. The bad software and buttons in the Buzz is reason enough not to get the car for many. Can’t believe that VW put this crap into this otherwise great practical and very comfortable car. Like you said, a heat pump should also be standard equipment in any EV in Europe., at least in Norway. I shall be very careful about rumors but I’ve heard, even when the 4WD long wheelbase Buzz comes along with a slightly bigger battery, the range will not improve. I really hope that will not be the case. Anyway. A heat pump, better buttons, improved software including an app where you can actually adjust settings and 4WD will make the car a whole lot better. Still got the Y too though. Love your video.

9 hours for 464km at 3 charging stops is quite stressing and impractical for a single driver, interesting video, thank you!

@2:00 50% is perhaps too much but same for a drive of 2h30, so better for you to take a break :-) and as the car had only 20 30 % at the first stop, seems very low temperatures are not well taken in account in consumtion estimation. Very interesting video, thanks !

Greetings! I've been a Tesla owner for just about 4yrs now and here in Korea we have about 3 months of "winter" during which i am lucky to get 70% of rated range and usually less than that. Rest of the year i tend to get just about or sometimes over the rated range. Mine was built just before the heatpump models but still I'm not sure if i would have bought one if the winter was any longer in my country. Thank you for the great content!

I Roaming Norway! Great video! I really enjoyed it 😁 Keep up with all the great work!!

When you were driving through that beautiful tunnel in the beginning of the video, I recognised the tunnel from Euro Truck Simulator 2! I have driven through that tunnel a few times and it's also in Norway and I live in South Africa, so I was only there in the game 😂

Seat heat can be turned on with two-finger-click on blue-red temperature controls. Nonetheless I agree with most of your points completely

I have same concerns, not only in winter time, but in hot summer, AC definitely will reduce the mileage of the car...But the buzz do look good.

awesome video. Thank you for sharing the beautiful sceneries as you made the reviews. I wondered how far can a full charged battery last with 5 people and luggage in it ? Considering ID Buzz is a family van. Almost all EV cars review has 1 or 2 passengers with luggage. Thanks.

I wish we had even one such beautiful mountain in Finland, but the are all located on the Norwegian side of the border.

The problem is in this life everything is a compromise (apart from my wife in case she reads this).

Concerns about range in an arctic environment are fine if you live in an arctic environment & need to be taken into consideration but for many the range (even when -25c) will not be an issue.

I guess that most EVs find their place as a 2nd vehicle which gives owners the ability to play to their strengths, at some point in the future that restriction may disappear.

In the end we make a decision on videos like this which give a real world view of function rather than the manufacturer’s brochure. Great video & you have a new subscriber.

I am glad that I went for the leasing option because I wanted to wait for the next version (long wheel based w/better battery) which I think is planned for european release in end of 2024. But I have enjoyed your trips on here in that Buzz but also the drive in the Tesla up north :)
