I just read that same edition of The Invisible Man. The cover was illustrated by one of my good friends, Tim Jacobus. He did all of the Goosebumps covers. He said he particularly enjoyed illustrating this book. I think it may have something to do with the fact that he actually reads the entire book before he illustrates. Tim has a penchant for humor such as The Three Stooges. Wells almost invented this sort of humor in The Invisible Man. The novel is scary at times but hilarious.

That’s my philosophy… keep buying them, and I’ll eventually feel bad enough that I’ll make myself read them all. I mean, it hasn’t happened yet, but that’s the plan 😊. Read the Invisible Man a few months back… hope you enjoy it more than I did. I also recently picked up a used copy of Notes from the Underground. Haven’t read it yet, but people were telling me it’s good. Great haul!

I’m so glad you now have Timescape and The Invisible Man for whenever you’re ready. That’s a cool Kornbluth, I agree. I never did get to The Smoke Ring, even though I had a great time with The Integral Trees.

I read a lot of Orson Scott Card, but never any Alvin Maker books.

Songmaster is a standalone fantasy from Card, so if you come across that, get it. I believe it’s his first novel (?)

If your interested in more Fantasy Alan Dean Foster, His Spellsinger 8 book series from 1983-1994 is pretty good portal fantasy with anthropomorphic animals.

Catherine Asaro and Lois McMaster Bujold are two of my favorite authors. The Quantum Rose isn't one of my favorites by Asaro, but I love other books in that series. Falling Free is very good, but I enjoy the main Vorkosigan series more. I hope you like them.

Came for your reselling content. Stayed for the books. Would love to see a recommended reading list series! Librarian chic. I'll take a book influencer to a look influencer any day. (Not that there's anything wrong with either path. Everyone has a right to live their life in whatever way helps to achieve their happiness, as long as it doesn't harm others.)
