Analytical Lab Tour

A quick tour of my analytical lab.

Happy to do able to say I’ve used almost all of these, except the scanning electron microscope and the x ray diffraction. Well and the desktop nmr but we were set up with 400, 500, and one 600MHz machines that just don’t quite fit the tabletop part of that name.
Idk why, since I tend to prefer synthetic chemistry, but this video really made me miss spending time in the lab. I need to go back and finish my degree, I’m onto analytical chem myself. I feel pretty blessed to have taken A Chem 1 with Dr. Eberlin though, and wish I could have her as a prof for A chem 2

none of these devices mean much to me, except the SEM :D I'm really glad to see you're continuing to make videos and I would love to see in-depth videos on literally every one of those devices, highly fascinating stuff!

Very nice! Quick question, though. Did you synthesize the methyl iodide at work? Or in a home lab?
