I suspect that the only reason these probe points exist in the first place is to corrode, because authorized service providers dont probe shit anyway, they just swap out the board :D

So I went to Apple store a week ago to drop off my 15in 2015 MacBook Pro to have the battery changed, they said it will take a week and it will have to be sent out to their service center, the technician noted that the screen had a single hairline crack on the display, otherwise the screen was working perfectly. 6 days later I get an email stating the battery cannot be changed unless the screen is repaired first and was quoted 680$, I declined the service and got my laptop back two days later, once I got home and turned my machine on, my display no longer turns on anymore. My device went in for a battery change and came back with a dead screen.
What do you think happened?
How can a device be given back in worse condition then it was originally brought in?

Probe points should not be in series with whatever line it's running, that would prevent it from rendering the board useless... but then again, Apple.
Sometimes I get board where I feel like touching up every single probe point, but they actually work so no point in doing so (no pun intended)
