Max Cavalera comments, “As we get harder year after year, sometimes you’ve got to go back to where it all started! We re-recorded Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions with the amazing sound of NOW, but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we’re living in right now…. Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.”

Iggor Cavalera states, “I always felt like the recordings of our earlier work didn’t do justice to the way we performed the songs. So, this is a very special moment in our lives that we are very proud to show you real fans our true representation of the amazing records Bestial Devastation & Morbid Visions with an insane visual identity…enjoy and see you all in the pit”

Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation were re-recorded at The Platinum Underground. The albums were produced by Max Cavalera and Iggor Cavalera while John Aquilino handled the engineering. Arthur Rizk was responsible for the mixing and mastering of both albums. CAVALERA enlisted Eliran Kantor to create the artwork for both albums.

I got to meet Igor outside of Ace of Spades in Sacramento CA last year. He was just sitting outside the tour bus on a bench in the late afternoon before the venue opened. He was super cool and chatted with my son and I for a few mins.

I've been a huge fan of Max and Igor ever since the early 90's. It was such an amazing opportunity to meet this legendary drummer. I was completely starstruck, and he was such a nice guy.

Hopefully I'll get to run into Max sometime.

After years, I've dug out my battlejacket again. It doesn't really fit anymore, but it reminded me of what we experienced together. Then I discovered a faded autograph on it. From Igor. It must be from the Beneath the Remains tour. After the concert, he was walking around the merchandising area and looking after the fans.

Iggor was wondering around the Villa Real Convention Center before their show with Obituary and Sadus in 1990, McAllen Texas. Signed my ticket and was great to the fans. Iggor went to hang out at the merchandise stand. Max came out the side of the stage taking pictures and signing everything.

The originals will always be classic and the best, but these recordings are a perfect compliment and great 👍 listening in cars very loud, the new versions sound much louder . Just amazing re recordings, so heavy and raw but loud and clear. Sepultura rules 🇧🇷 🇵🇹

Hearing the ideas and hopes of teenagers recreated by them as ~50 year olds is sobering. I have had the Schizophrenia remake in my possession for a couple of months now and the first time I listened to the new Inquisition Symphony, it was like listening to the song for the first time all over again. When you know the real reason it reaches down into your soul and touches your nerves like they never have been before or since (Generalised Anxiety Disorder in my case, and I would be happy to give some pointers about making an album themed around that, Max and Igor haha), Inquisition Symphony is a purge of the greatest kind.

"They might not grok it, but they sound like they at least *get* it" is the greatest feeling you can have from a piece of art.
