I get Brooks Brothers from a thrift store that only gets clothes from the USA. I don't think we can get BB here as we have none of their stores and I don't think they sell from other retailers. I am not a patch pocket guy, to me it looks like a work shirt; I prefer my dress shirts to have no pockets. Edit: After I commented, it turned out that the BB button down shirt I wore today had a pocket. lol The alignment of the pattern pocket on the pattern shirt is perfectly matching. It was The Original Polo Shirt in Regent Fit with a checker pattern. Though made in Malaysia the fabric is thick and good, the texture helps with the casual look. Not bad for a used clothes store find. No logos for me.

The old Brooks Brothers was great. They went through hard times. I bought 2 polo shirts and the both shrank after a couple of washings. I hope the BB quality is back.

I have worn Brooks Bros, but nowadays I find them way over priced for the quality they offer.

Brooks Brothers has gone through quite a bit of financial turmoil in recent years and is now owned by a private equity firm. Kind of sad. I really hope they can pull through, but with modern society going increasingly more casual, I don’t know how much longer this storied American brand will be around. I love their heritage and their legacy, but even I must admit that some of their mid range items can be a little hit or miss, so when you’re shopping there, you might have to try a few things out before you find what works for you. Go support them though!

I hate to be a buzzkill, I love the look of Brooks Brothers products, but I had the weirdest experience with a lovely looking pair of tassel loafers I was going to buy a few weeks back. I got a warning saying because I live in California I was entitled to know that the the soleso of the shoes contained ingredients that can cause cancer. I Googled the two ingredients it mentioned, and it found that they are carcinogenic upon repeated, longtime exposure. So, I won't be buying shoes from Brooks Brothers. I had bought a pair of herringbone socks from them, and I was so paranoid after my experience with the tassel loafers that I debated keeping them or throwing them out. But it seemed a waste to throw them out and I couldn't find anything saying they are dangerous, so happily, I kept them. So, that's my Brooks Brothers story. It's unfortunate, but I just doubt I'll be buying much from them after finding out those shoes were carcinogenic. I know this is an odd comment, it's just plain bizarre for such a reputable company that really does make beautiful products to make something that could quite literally be lethal, however small the chances might be. Again, I'm genuinely sorry to be the voice of doubt, but the only experience I have to offer is the experience I have had after all, and this just seemed like relevant information. All the best!
