Curious about parental control software app? Join us for an honest Qustodio review, the tool that helps you keep your kids safe online.

Now, my wife and I don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, but one thing that we’re definitely on the same page about is that it’s our duty to protect our kids innocence for as long as possible. So for about 10 years since my daughter Lizzie was born, we've done our best to keep her and our other two boys both happy and safe, especially online. And even though I kind of wanted to, I couldn't just keep them off the internet entirely, so parental control software became really important for our family. So between my wife and I, we researched and tested a bunch of different programs to find one that worked for our family, and out of all of them only a handful, including Qustodio—the one my wife and I chose—stood out. So today I want to talk about Qustodio and compare it to some other parental control software that we looked into. I’ll talk about their features, the user interface, what it's compatible with, how much it costs, and, to be a hundred percent transparent, I'll also go over some areas where I think Qustodio could improve in order to ultimately help you figure out if Qustodio is the right parental control software for your family or not. And if you end up wanting to try Qustodio out, use the link that’s down in the description because you’ll get a bit of a discount that’s not available if you go right to their website. Ok, so for those of you who may not be familiar, Qustodio’s a parental control software that helps parents manage and monitor their kids online. You can track and limit screen time and block access to inappropriate and possibly dangerous websites and content. It works on all sorts of devices, like smartphones, tablets, and computers. And it basically helps parents keep an eye on who their kids are talking to and what they're looking at online. Now, they have a lot of features, so we’ll just go over a few here... Uhh, let's start with - safe search and web filtering. You can basically completely control what your kid’s can see online. And they either suggest entire categories of websites to block, or you can make your own list. And it works on both Apple and Android and all the big browsers. But there is something here that I think could be improved: You don’t have the option to block or allow specific URLs within a website. Which means for example, you can't block YouTube but allow specific YouTube channels. They either make you block or allow an entire domain. Microsoft Family Safety, for example, that do offer that option, so I know that it's definitely doable. But they do make it really really easy for you to limit what your kids have access to online. And on your control panel, which is on the website they have a full activity report going back 30 days, there you’ll be able to see everything your kids have been doing online over the past month. They’re actually really thorough and show you everything from screen time to blocked websites, call logs, and all the messages that either your kids sent or messages that were sent to them. But the only catch is that if you have to monitor a bunch of different devices, say you have a few kids or your kids have a bunch of devices, the report only gives you data from all the devices put together in one place, but you can't see which specific device something came from, so you have to do a little investigating if you do find something on the report that’s troublesome. Ok, so in terms of pricing, they have three plans. First, they do offer a very limited free plan you can use for one device, which I think is really nice of them even though it's pretty limited in terms of features - which is understandable. Then there's the “basic” plan, which costs a little under $5 a month for up to five devices. Okay, so that's the whole story—an honest and thorough review of Qustodio’s parental control software. I hope this answers all your questions and helps you make a decision on whether it's the right fit for your family or not. And that’s gonna be it for today! I really hope you found this video helpful, and if you did, hit the like button and subscribe for more. And, like I mentioned before, if you want to try Qustodio out, check out the link in the description to get that discount I mentioned before that you wouldn’t be able to get if you went straight to their website. Also, feel free to leave any questions in the comments below, and I’ll do my best to try and answer them as quickly as I can. Guys, thanks so much for watching, and I’ll see you in the next one!
