Millions upon millions of miles separate these bodies. So overwhelmingly far that entire generations will be born, grow old, and pass on without ever making it a fraction of the way from one to the next. And yet, they are so cosmically close. So near to one another, that it seems like a light stroll. As though some child can easily walk its length in a matter of hours.

The knowledge that it is so close, so near to us, drives the spirit of exploration. Like Tantalus, we see the fruit in front of us. Ready for the taking. But so painfully far, just beyond our grasp.

But still, we reach out in hopes that someway, somehow, we might just make it.

Mate, how do you like the AM5 mount? I’ve been eyeballing one but I know literally nothing about dedicated astrophotography setup besides the fact that I have an AT80EDT 🤣😂

I did all of the readings and it keeps pointing me back to the AM5.

It looks like you live in a normal suburb. How do you have the visibility, given light pollution to capture these incredible images? Is it just timing it right? Special equipment? Or do you live further out from the city than it would appear?
