The mental health establishment has invented a new condition. It's called "time blindness." Apparently, you aren't a lazy procrastinator. You're just blind to time.

Ancient people dealt with "time blindness" by using devices called "clocks" and "watches" that kept track of time for you.

I have a severe case of "woke blindness" where I lose eyesight and suffer hearing problems whenever a woke person starts to talk. Hopefully there is no remedy...

I currently have time blindness. I go to bed when I want, get up when I want, do chores when I want, watch movies when I want and just generally don't punch the time clock. It's great being retired after working for 50 years.

ADHD is something that people have been dealing with for generations before us. My dad and I both have it. The way he dealt with it and taught me to was setting multiple obnoxiously loud alarms and making check lists for each day. My dad was never late one day in his whole life.

Time blindness, another way of saying I’ve never been held accountable for anything substantial in my entire life nor taught how to be responsible for myself and courteous to others.

Time blindness is actually a real thing commonly found in neurodiverse people with ADHD or ASD. This video is more representational of lazy people who are using time blindness as an excuse. True time blindness is where you get hyper focused on something and lose track of time resulting in staying at work way past your scheduled shift or you start preparing for your appointment 3 hours early because you know if you don't, you will be late. Modifications don't need to be made by your employer, rather it is our personal responsibility to use an alarm as a reminder for when we need to transition to the next thing. Unless you have this condition, one truly can't understand how difficult it is to manage day to day schedules. It is manageable.

I'm diagnosed ADHD but I have trained myself through the years to be on time and organized. It's only a disability if I allow it to be. People using it as an excuse or expecting special accommodation for it is horseshit...period.

I'm a director and had to write up 3 employees yesterday for being 20 minutes late and they all flipped out like I was in the wrong! It made my day!

they didnt "yell" at her. All they did was tell her how lazy she is, to her face. These talking head videos on IG, TikTok, and X are always dramatic, altering the real events to make it sound like they were being attacked.

A guaranteed solution to "time blindness" is an alarm clock.

Time blindness is a thing, but it’s not a condition in and of itself. It’s part of executive dysfunction, is common for people diagnosed with adhd and autism spectrum disorder. We don’t get a free pass to not have deadlines and to be late all the time. We do our best to manage with helps like timers, clocks and alarms, for everything. It takes a lot of extra brain power to manage that and sometimes we slip up and forget to set an alarm. That’s where accommodations and understanding come in.
