No cause it makes sense if Takemichi's past itself was altered; because its weird that while he remembers all this information from different timelines; he's somehow blank about his childhood with some parts of his memory being elusive. Literally all of Takemichi's actual childhood has been through the eyes of people who knew him as a child (Hina, Kakuchou, Kisaki) but Takemichi's POV itself has never been shown. Now we know that Takemichi has present parents; but it raises the question: WHAT were they doing when their 14 year old CHILD ran away to the city with absolutely no contacts; no educational qualifications or even enough money? Why do they never visit when he is in the hospital? And while Takemichi possesses the memory of important events in his life with objects of reference; his memory before and AFTER these events are not shown?
