Cradle Lullaby

Commissioned by the Wells Cathedral Chorister Parents, Cradle Lullaby was first performed after evensong on Easter Sunday 2012, as a surprise for the Organist & Master of the Choristers, Matthew Owens, his wife Ali and new-born baby.

The words are a mixture of a simple traditional Lullaby and the 'Northeastern Cradle Song', a traditional folk song from Northeast China.

Cradle Lullaby has been recorded by the Choristers of Wells Cathedral, and has been released on their Christmas album, Jingle Wells.
