This is the first video I've found that mentions the haploid-diploid issue. Names are given for diploid-diploid (mitosis) and diploid-haploid (meiosis) but this process that happens only once per person does not have a name. Nevertheless there must be something amazing that causes them to merge instead of keeping separate; we just don't know how it happens as we do know about the other more common processes. Thanks for your video!
