Now that we know what Luocha & Co are up to and that they have a piece of Tayzzyronth in his coffin, it's time to speculate about how and why this "plan" of theirs could actually kill an Aeon.

And boy do I have a wild take on it.

i think the idea of aeons being absorbed into one another definitely holds some weight because we see something a lot like that in the divergent universe gameplay. when you pick equations, you are basically fusing the powers of two paths, but one aeon is generally the "primary" one which outlines how the equation is activated and the other one provides the outcome. for example, nihility x propagation = stacking suspicion on enemies (nihility) gives enemies spores (propagation)

Well-made video! You highlighted a lot of the theories I also had in mind for a while now, namely that the Permanence constituted of the Abundance and the Propagation. Also, you're spot-on in your analysis of Ruan Mei. Many tend to misunderstand her character when the simple truth is that she *only* wants to understand *life*---its essence, origin, meaning, everything.

On the topic of Ruan Mei, while yes, it's probable (in terms of story direction) that the Permanence is "revived" from a merging of the Abundance and the Propagation as you mentioned, but I would like to point out another possibility---that being of a new path being born; not the Permanence, but 'Life' itself. And Ruan Mei might be the perfect beholder of this concept. From her trailer, we know that she has an interest in ascending to Aeonhood. It's not her ultimate goal, but I don't think hyv would have hinted at it in her trailer if it wasn't going to lead to anything. So, who knows? This could be another possibility. After all, splitting, dilution, merging, absorbing are very abstract processes; who's to say that putting the Abundance and Propagation back together will rebuild a prefect Permanence? Which is why I say that a new path might be created (eg, Life)

Ruan Mei wants to learn more about life so she can be an Aeon herself. I doubt she would risk reviving Tayzzyronth without finding a way to absorb their path.

... You know, the Borisins, feral users of Abundance, were known to be some really good flesh sculptors through Yaoshi's blessing. But wasn't there a text that claims that the Vidyadhara used to be able to do the same before Long disappeared, but lost the ability to do so after that?

Long himself dissolving and later reincarnating would be very on brand for his concept thematically, even if it wasn't a conscious choice. My personal theory on killing an Aeon is forcing it to act against it's own path, although that might still result in descending.

I think a question that should be asked is what happens to *Lan* if Yashoi is killed, and what role he would play in the unfolding events.

I think the 3rd way to kill an aeon is to somehow make them change their philosophy so they no longer believe in the aspect they represent. I think you said this in your introduction of HSR video.

About your end note on the third option, I feel like there was something in game that said Aeons can't stray from their path once they ascend so I'm not sure if they can just descend from their position as Aeon since it could imply they're not following their path as truthfully anymore nad therefore "die"

One observation that I saw on your last video and I see repeated in this one. Paths are not CONCEPTS per se, they are (and very explicitly) IDEOLOGIES. Nihility is not nothingness itself, it is the belief that existence's meaningless makes your own actions irrelevant and not worth doing, while Elation is not laughter but the belief that existence's meaningless makes your own enjoyment the absolute priority. That ideology gives them authority over some concepts associated to their ideology, but those concepts are not the path itself.

That is why there can be paths with a similar outcome that do not overlap, because their methods (ideologies) are completely different. With Harmony and Order, they do overlap because Order is just one of the permutations that Harmony accepts.

It is also why Mara is a feature, not a bug, for the Abundance. The Abundance ideology is survival of the individual at any cost and becoming an unkillable monster is the best way of doing so.
