NAB's pledge to support Indigenous Voice to Parliament is 'astonishing'

Sky News host Rita Panahi says the National Australia Bank pledging support for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament “is quite an astonishing thing for a major bank to be doing”.

“For a bank to come out and take a firm position on this is strange, to begin with,” she said.

“What’s that got to do with NAB?

“Why do they feel like they need to indulge in this corporate virtue signalling?”

It is astonishing but it's also a little misleading as it presupposes that aboriginals don't have a voice to Parliament: voting. It's more accurate to say, On top of that, they're disproportionately represented by 10 aboriginal MPs. It's more accurate to say that they want an EXTRA voice to Parliament.
