What is your favorite FREE travel tip (hack)?

I love the cotton pad trick. Saved me from bringing additional 3-4 liquids. I also switched out my shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, deodorant, dry shampoo and a few other products for SOLIDS. That way I can pack those in a tiny pouch separately from my liquids.
My daughter takes a dry sponge and cuts it into 6 squares pieces (not completely through) soaks it in liquid laundry detergent and then let’s dry. Packs it in a ziplock and when she needs to hand wash a few items in the sink she can just rip off a square. She can bring them back home to soak again. She loves this hack for cruises. So smart.

As someone who is frequently pulled aside at TSA, packing cubes have been so helpful in getting my things put back in place easily!!

Learned a couple of new tips today - thanks! (love the baggie in the seat-back pocket)!

For the 'ziplock in the seatback pocket' hack, put the ziplock inside a grocery store produce bag and let the produce bag top inch or so fold over the pocket edge.
You have no idea what may have been put in that seatback pocket and likely the cleaning crews may not have had time to clean/sanitize it properly.
When time to deboard, pull out the clean ziplock and put it in your bag/tote/pouch. Then reach inside the produce bag, pinch the bottom interior of the bag, and pull it out inside out; it's now safe to fold up and throw away.

If you decide to use the hotel-provided ironing board as a working or eating surface, PLEASE just take the ironing padding off. The surface under the pad is enameled metal, easy to wipe clean of food or ink spills. You can re-cover the clean-surfaced ironing board before you leave. Plus, containers set on metal are less likely to tip over than on a padded ironing board cover.

I'm scared of flights over five hours, I'm increasing my flights little by little to be able to make it to Europe & Asia one day
