Something that I am always striving to do better… is my speed! The benefits of being able to work more quickly matter so much more when creating hyperrealistic art. If I can work two or three times as quick, I can make two or three times more art! And I love creating art ✏️ so the more, the better!

This is absolutely not to say that any artist should put pressure on themselves to work more frantically, but if the process can be more efficient, sometimes it helps.

The main way I actually increase my speed though, is not by physically drawing faster, it’s by developing better processes. So the very techniques that I use enable me to work more quickly.

These are the same techniques that I teach in my online drawing school. I love being able to show other artists how to create their own hyperrealistic drawings, and I love even more being able to show those students how to do it without having to spend years on a single project. Because it is possible!
