i actually really like the OP1 workflow, but really did not like the synths. i would track into it using the input jack, but the quality was really poor. ended up selling it

A lot of you are missing the point. There's nothing else on the market with this physical workflow, small form factor, and set of features that you just can sit with in your lap and play with. And if it's so easy to do a unit like this - why are the op-1 still the only one of its kind?

How far does the 256MB memory go with this in a practical context when you're out and about e.g. if I was away for a fortnight and wanted to lay down a load of ideas, would I be in danger of reaching storage capacity?

im an 8 year op1 user/fan to be honest i was looking forward and very excited to the new feature but for a 10 year update, this was really disappointing...and its no even about the price! i would pay 2k for a real op1 on steroidsor, actually a op2.0 but this was definitely not it! this is just a op1.5 with some updates that could not be done via still think TE is a great company and still will keep using my op1 OG until we actually get a op2.0 in 10 years maybe who knows!

I love this thing but oh man do I wish they just added a shit load of fx. I just bought a Korg Wavestate for 400 bucks and I swear it has like 30-40 different reverbs, and an insane amount of other fx. They easily could have added similar stuff if not more at this price point. I get the idea of a stripped back workflow but why for the price.
