Our Vitara range is available with either Mild or Full Hybrid technology. Our Mild Hybrid system provides battery assistance, meaning a small electric motor supports the petrol engine when it needs it most, such as during acceleration or going up a hill. The Full Hybrid powertrain provides dual power, switching between the petrol engine and electric motor or using a combination of both to drive the wheels. Whatever your choice, you'll get better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions.

The powerful, highly efficient motor on the Vitara Full Hybrid generates a maximum output of 24kW and up to 60Nm of torque despite its compact size.

I noticed that the automatic version (1.5L) has 115Hp for 130NM of torque compared to the manual version (1.4L) has 129HP for 235NM of torque. Is the difference of torque and power noticeable when comparing both models ?

I have a 2007 2.0 luxury edition Grand Vitara in perfect condition and I feel I have a better car than this one is. This is like a toy for kids next to the 2007 one. And also it seems to me they nowadays give you less car for the same money. In brief, it seems to me over the last decade car builders have gone to a less value for money standards. I guesss the political decisions made in the EU and USA about switching car industry to electric technology has meant bigger I&D expenses for the car builders and this has forced them to reduce the amount of car they can serve for the clients money. I recommend to buy a good car from early 2000s at the second hand market in good condition than to buy the "same" car in a new version. You will get a better car for much less money.
