In today's video: let me take you around some "usual days" in Chiang Mai! ☺️ I joined two creative groups: a writing group and a drawing group! Both groups had mainly foreigners who were living full-time in the city... it was very interesting to exchange with them! 🥰 I discovered two wonderful cafés near my apartment... Chiang Mai is a café hopping dream!! 🤩 I walked around the east part of the city: the night bazaar, Wat Ket Karam temple, Ping river, Chansom Memorial Bridge... before ending the day by a long evening walk, all the way back home 🌙

(you don't want to miss the stories!!)

I will post every single day of the trip as daily (silent) vlogs - hope it will help you plan your own trip... or make you feel like you're traveling with me! ☺️

about me: 30-yo, born in France 🇫🇷 raised by Portuguese immigrants parents 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🇵🇹 I never had the chance to travel when I was younger so, as soon as I managed to save up some money, I took off 🛫 At 19yo, I moved to live and study for a year in Athens, Greece 🇬🇷 At 22, I moved for an internship in Miami, USA 🇺🇸 before getting another opportunity to work and study in Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦 At 24, I did my last master degree semester as an exchanged student in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷 Fell in love with the country, got a job, and been based in Rio de Janeiro ever since. After some personal health issues, I realized life is too short not to explore the world more… I’ve always loved documenting my days (journaling, scrapbooking) and knowing the next months would be full of travels, I thought, why not vlog it? I’m sure future-me will be very happy to look back at these videos! Hope you do too ☺️

Hey everyone ☺ I hope you're having a wonderful start of the "school year", wherever you are in the world! 🌎 What's your favorite "start of school" feeling? 🤓 Mine (as you can easily imagine...) is looking for new stationery items, the smell of a new notebook, this feeling that "all is still possible" because you "still" have a few months before the end of the year... I am looking forward to these -BER months, I hope you are too 🥰

Fantastic scenery! Those beautiful temples at every corner are an amazing sight! I wonder if other cities in Thailand have many temples like in Chiang Mai. You have a knack for finding cozy cafés and places with a great view of the sunsets. You are like the Little Prince who loves to watch sunsets 🌇 I used to look forward to the return to school specifically because of getting new stationery :D The crisp new pages of a notebook, the pristine new pencil pouch and the cute erasers! The excitement has not diminished despite the years and I still love new stationery, although I am no longer in school (but that doesn't stop me from buying cute stationery every autumn 😆 )🏮

First of all, I just have to say that blue dress looks absolutely stunning on you! The color complements your skin tone perfectly.

Now, onto the amazing content of your video... I loved following along on your cafe hopping adventure! The atmosphere of each cafe looked so cozy and inviting.🤗

The writing and drawing class looked like so much fun! I'm a big fan of exploring my creative side, and it's great to see you doing the same. Your artwork is beautiful, by the way!

And then, of course, there's the night bazaar - wow! The colors, the lights, the energy... it all looks so captivating. I can almost smell the street food and hear the vendors calling out their wares.

Finally, the riverside walk looked like the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. There's something so peaceful about being near water, don't you think?

Thanks for sharing your wonderful day with us - I felt like I was right there with you, exploring and experiencing all the sights and sounds. 🫶🏾🤍🤍🤍

I love how there's so much greenery everywhere, plants, trees etc. It's so calming. Also all those cafes look so charming, and the co-working space so inviting. The search for new pens and notebooks never stopped even after years since schooldays, I just expanded it to new sketchbooks, paints and art related stuff 😅 I too love the last 4 months of the year, Autumn is my fav season by far after all!!🤩🍁🏮

Chiang Mai at sunset time is always so magical. Favourite part of the day for me.
There is a great rooftop spot called Makad in Chinatown for an excellent view. You were only two blocks from it. Worth checking out if you get the chance.

Tes vidéos sont toujours très apaisantes et ton talent d’artiste est indéniable. Il y a beaucoup d’expats à Chiang Maï?
Ma rentrée se fera à travers le Japon. Je décolle la semaine prochaine. So excited 😊 🏮

Hello Milo san, greetings from Tokyo after a long while❤

So you’re enjoying your travels in Asia😮

In Japan the school-year begins on 1 April🌸

As I’m a mathematician & physicist, I love various stationeries.

I usually use pencils(or mechanical ones) with lead B when I read papers and books to jot memos down or calculate something in the margins.

When I write draft of my math papers, I use my Pelican pen with blue-black ink; when physics papers, drafting pen (black), as easy to draw graphs and diagrams.

Finally when I write fair copy of my papers, I type it by PC software “Latex”. When I was a college teacher, someone usually helped me type my papers out, but now after retired from the university teacher, I do it by myself! That’s very tiresome. I take 2~3days for only 30 some pages!!

Anyway the typhoon 10(Shanshan) brought Japan so much rain💦 and floods, Tokyo was in a terrible sense a City of Water💧😅

Do continue and enjoy travelling in Asia, Bon Voyage🎉
