It's a great thing to do as a family. Beyond the event it'll be a reference point at family gatherings in the future.

Partials do the same thing. We saw a partial eclipse yesterday and as it happened, the temperature went from 70 degrees to something like 63 degrees because the air cooled as a result of the sun being unable to give its light and warmth because the moon just had to get in its way. Lol I love explaining it like that.

In 2017 I spent too much time trying to take pictures of totality with a camcorder and my phone AT THE SAME TIME.

2 days ago I spent much more time being IN THE MOMENT as Bill suggested. We were at the Neil Armstrong Space Museum In Ohio with thousands of other people and it really made the experience extra special.

If you are a kid, start planning to see the 2044 eclipse now.

Does anybody realize that Bill Nye is not actually a scientist but he has a degree? Not even a master's degree in a non-science field. Come on people

Bill thinks we are so much smarter than the previous generation 🙄
He's like "we've got science " like they didn't know it was a solar eclipse also.
How do you think they perfectly aligned the pyramids with the constellations
