I never knew about this and really appreciate learning this happened - such a terrible thing when people with power want what you have. Our home has been "eminent domain" chopped on two sides. I can only imagine the extra heartache of losing all your community as people are scattered apart looking for new homes. I would love to see plaques explaining the ruins like the one you showed us, with plenty of pictures showing the vibrant people, the families and community that was destroyed. We need to know these histories because the whole story can make us think.
