i was raised in vietnam and this is actually true, usually in summer there will be rain and thunderstorms that can flood the roads. but when summer’s over, it becomes sunny again

In Indonesia it usually rains a lot but according to Indonesians in the rainy season it's usually just to play around, relax, drink coffee, then swim using a life jacket.

tip from a vietnamese person: coming to vietnam during spring is the best time, lots of festivals and doesn't rain much surprisingly. And dont forget vietnam is way warmer than the the US so dont bring thick thick layers!
