Since the DJI AIR 2S uses OcuSync 3, many people are wondering if it will work with the DJI Smart Controller because it uses OcuSync 2. Well, it will work. You just have to follow the firmware update prompts and have patience. It takes about 30 minutes to do the update. In this video, I walk you through the process.

Now that's smart! How's the signal though? Compared to Air 2S controller.

Kelly. How is the video feedback to the smart controller? I’ve heard one person say that the feed back to the smart controller is not as smooth as the Air 2S controller. That’s important to me since I exclusively use the smart controller and that is the reason I’m ordering the Air 2S.

You think compatibility with motion controller would be possible with future updates?

hey if you talk to DJI, remind them they need to get the Mini 2 to connect to the SC! Thanks for this video.

Will I loose the Air 2s ocusync 3.0 with the Smart controller due to the fact that the Smart controller is Ocusync 2.0?

It'd be totally sick if the Air2S could work with motion controller and V2 goggles!

the smart controller support any occusync 2.0 (and above) dji drones and the Air 2S has occusync 3.0. If we fly the Air 2S with the SC, does it flies in ocusync 2.0 range or occusync 3.0

Nice to see DJI have not forgotten about SC, Kelly. Nicely done.

Will the Air 2S ever be compatible with V2 goggles using the standard controller (as the early rumours suggested it would be, if it came with Ocusync 3.0/03)?

Now the question is. Is the smartcontroller now occusync 3 or is the drone now occusync 2. Or none of both?

My DJI Smart Controller works with DJI Air 2S. One problem is that every time I press the RTH button on the DJI Smart Controller, DJI Air 2S keeps going up and up instead of coming down to the original landing site. All firmware updated correctly.

I'm hoping you have had a chance to test this thoroughly. I've flown my 2s 4 times. Twice with the stock controller and twice with the smart controller. Both times the smart controller would not allow left or right roll. Will spin and move up/down, forward and back but will not roll. Works fine with my Mavic 2 zoom and works with the stock controller. All Firmware is updated. This weekend I will roll back firmware and start over again, but I was curious if anyone else is seeing this as well.

Can you see your screen better with the smart controller? I have a problem with glare on the standard controller with my iPad, I phone

How is the range with Air 2S and the Smart Controller? Is the image smooth on the screen or is there choppiness caused by poor latency? Thanks in advance.

My question is, when is the NEW smart controller out? Surely can't be far off.

That 16 second pause also had me worried a little but all good.

Do Mavic 2 pro ND filters fit the Air 2s

I noticed that after I updated my Smart Controller firmware to the version that supports the Air 2S, the video feed from my Mavic Air 2 stuttered significantly more than before. Has anyone else noticed this?
