The scary thing about the crystal is that it works as virus if the initial shot does not kill you, you'll wish it did. Because slowly it turns all your cells into crystal from the inside out imagine your body slowyly changing to shards and said shards breaking off lacerating and infecting the rest of your body an agonising death until it reaches something vital. Even fabius bile could not find a cure the best he could come up with is reinforced cells using silica which only slows the infection. But then again Bile does not use warp magic in his creations, atleast not yet

The splinter ammo is being downplayed a lot here. Being shot by one of those thing is like being shot by a glass bullet, it'll break and shatter inside your body and would be basically impossible to remove or even allow your body to heal because it'll keep cutting your afterwards. And this is not even mentioning the neurotoxins lol
