A simple animation demonstrating LAMP, let me know if you'd like some commentary as I could make a second version. Credit to Shaïma Azouzi for the animation and graphics.

LAMP is a kind of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) like amplification protocol. For the detection of specific DNA sequences in a sample. It produces binary results, present or not present. It uses 4 primers which recognise 6 regions, thus its amplification is much more specific and more sensitive than classic PCR. It uses BST polymerase for this which presents a strand displacement property allowing it to amplify at a stable temperature, and without need for hybridisation/dehybridisation processes.
