My favorite line from Jesus was "have ye not read the scriptures". Asking the pharasies.
Top tier humor. That would be like asking a waiter if they take orders, it's their whole job.

When the pharasiees asks Jesus weather or not we should pay taxes, a trick question because if he said yes, his followers would reject him because they hate taxes, but if he said no, he'd be arrested. Jesus asked for a Roman coin, then asked "who's face is on this?" "Ceaser" the pharasiees replied. "Give to ceaser what belongs to ceaser, give to God what belongs to god."

My favorite line from Jesus was: "You snakes, you brood of vipers, how will you escape being condemned to hell?" Jesus did not hold back.

(Edit: Some people might forget that it is an scary warning when you think about it because your getting that from the all powerful God, and it makes you feel actually scared for the phrasees)

It's funny to think that Jesus was so witty.

He didn't break the rules, He fulfilled them.

Towards the end of a Gospel after Jesus died, people were crying over him being dead, and Jesus basically walks up to them and pulls the cliche "what are you talking about?"

This is a concept that I love of Jesus, that I have never thought of before.

Jesus enjoyed roasting those stubborn, proud, religious people who had no real love for the common folks.

Jesus did not break the rules. He perfectly followed the Sabbath laws and all laws of God. He didn’t redefine the Sabbath. He perfectly interpreted the Sabbath laws and perfectly demonstrated the Sabbath observance according to the law that has been in effect from creation week to eternity.

The Apostle Paul followed in His footsteps. His sarcasm towards Judaizers was definitely NSFW at times, like when he told them to go castrate themselves 😮.

Jesus was an absolute genius whenever he spoke

So basically, Jesus can roast people in many different ways😅🔥😂🔥

Yup. "Keep the Sabbath day Holy" means *GOOD* works (which are righteous and of the Holy Spirit rather than our own works) are encouraged on the Sabbath.
The commandment isn't "Thou shalt be a couch potato on the seventh day"

God Laughs at the wicked, so this does make sense 😂

I like to think Jesus had same sort of quick wit blue collar workers typically have

Jesus was definitely a joy to be around just as a friend.

I love Jesus’ humor. it strengthens my faith knowing my lord and savior not only loves me more than I could ever imagine, but how he’s also really good at making me laugh. EVERY TONGUE SHALL DECLARE JESUS CHRIST AS LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS, AMEN

A favorite encounter of mine is in Matthew 21:23-27 when the chief priests demanded to know by whose authority Jesus was teaching.
He cornered them by asking them if they thought the baptism of John was of God or of men.
They replied “we cannot tell.”
He replied “neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.”

I’ve noticed that before I started cursing, I was more creative with my words, and spoke clearer.
I’m trying to stop cursing now, but I sometimes slip up.

My favorite roast is when Jesus says "Have you not read (this and that)" when referring to the law, when talking to the priests. Reading and memorising all of the law was literally the main thing the priests were known for
