Mannnn this is what youtube is about. I just got my mount today so here I am and found what I didn't know I was looking for. My Panasonic G9 is in a small rig. This is a great idea but I think one step further to avoid any pressure on the hot shoe would be to just buy a $40-$50 camera cage that way every mounting point to the fat gecko is to the cage itself which is metal 👍. Great idea for sure though and allowed me a way to make it just a tad more secure with the cage.
