Birds in flight with the OM-1 and Procapture

This week we are looking at the Procapture feature of the OM-1 for birds in flight. It is a fantastic feature that allows you to despress the shutter release button after the event has happened, but still get the shot.

I am always looking for the opportunity to use it. I photograph Blue, Great and Long-tailed tits as well as Goldfinch, Greenfinch and Nuthatch in flight.

Such valuable information, very early days for my bird photography, Mike’s videos are such a good resource. My wife had much more interest in birds than myself but having retired I decided to get back into photography after a ten year break and I thought why not make it bit of a joint hobby. Sold all my Canon gear and now set up with a decent OM system.
Now I can capture the birds in detail and see the beauty of them close up it has really fired up my interest.
Mike’s videos made realise what’s possible regarding bird photography and creating the set ups is also interesting and something I’m keen to try out, put my 46 years of carpentry and joinery skills to good use.

Very nice shots! Looking forward to the video on the focus limiter. In some situations it's very useful, especially when used in conjunction with Pre-MF and the various ON settings assigned to a button so you can scroll through the options.

If you used a £10.000 Camera you could not take better images than these they are really superb Mike, , when people say Micro 4/3 is inferior they need to take a look at this Video, Brilliant.
