He got hepatitis B in the US their first tour and he was sick for almost a year cause he also had a ulcer that had to be operated on so this song was written as a thank you for the rest of them waiting on him

Note the mention of "Hoople." This a reference to their touring with Mott The Hoople in the US. "Peaches" was supposedly a waitress in NY that Brian fancied. I would love to know where she worked.

Great performance, even if Freddie wasn't 100% he still gave it everything. I read that John had his own mini bar onstage, so he probably was in his own world lol. Could you react to Breakthru from The Miracle album, great song and video.

Thank you so very much because this is one of my favorite songs by them and also an incredible performance!! Sadly it was their last tour..Roger & Freddie had by far the most strenuous work during these alive shows and the drummer said his arms would hurt soooo much for the first couple of weeks they were on tour. He would get massages on his arms and shoulders every chance he could get to help relieve the pain. Additionally, Roger said that his fingers and hands would blister from the drumsticks, and during the live show his fingers would be bleeding all over the place & whenever they would have a small break when Brian and Fred would do a song together, the Roadies would come bandage up Roger's hands because they were a bloody mess for the first couple of weeks as well. Roger said the Roadies might have only had three minutes to bandage his arms and clean the blood off of the drums but that went away after about 2 weeks and his fingers would callus up so they wouldn't bleed. it's amazing to hear their personal stories and problems about their live shows because all we see are the good parts of the shows.

After their last concert in 1986, Fred told Brian and Roger when they were leaving the stage that "he couldn't do this anymore because he was just too tired and he was in too much pain". Fred did not even go to the end-of-tour party like he normally did but rather went back to his hotel room showered, and went to bed. He probably had a vodka and a pain pill as well. the other band members went to shower and eat and then went on to the after tour party.

really like this one because freddie is here then he is there. love the way he moves. some one wants you to react to give me the prize. i played it to day & that is all i have done is give me the prize. played it for my son one day & i think he was tired of me saying give me the prize but i just had to do it. now sassy i found james blunt singing "cold" now you will know what happened after he went into the water. i liked your beautiful better but cold is good.i keep coming in to your videos to listen because the other your beautiful is not as good as yours because he is 45 with a beard & his voice has changed so your is the best. he is also married & has 2 children.thanks for turning me on to james it is all your fault. betty
