Everyone gets into debate about the singers but... I think each song sounds best with the singer it was written for. Some of the studio recordings work, but live... Floor sounds best with the songs written after she joined, etc. Annette did really well with these kinds of melodic fairy tale vibes!

I love Anette's voice, and I love Tarja's voice. Both voices go great with this time of music, even though they sound completely different. Personally, I'll always love Nightwish, just because their music is amazing and the band itself is one of the few bands I'll support.

I miss this era of Nightwish so much, before they became derivative of themselves and decided to do three albums in a row that could all be exchanged with one another. Yes, we get it, life is a miracle. Just ignore all the brutality and suffering and focus on surface level repetitive themes, over and over and over again. Bring back the depth, the fantasy, the wonder, the imagination, the variety, the wonderful, beautiful darkness...the nuance that seems to have been all but lost after Imaginareum.

Can we drop the whole Tarja thing by now its been over 5 yrs since Tuomas fired her from the band because of her poor attitude towards the band, and she's happy in her solo career, and Tuomas is very happy w/ the direction he takeing w/ his band and haveing Anette in there brought Nightwish to a whole new lvl, yes i loved Tarja's voice too when the songs were written for her voice, these songs are written for Anette's and she's awesome!

i remember my dad telling me how, my mom, absolute nightwish FANATIC. she is really bad at showing or expressing emotions, and my dad decides that he wants to get something other than poker face and RBF out of her, so he takes mom to a meet and greet with nightwish. she starts crying once they get to the band [parents were like, 10th in line] and once she finally manages to clear up and start talking, the first thing she does is praise tuomas and tell him how much she loves HIM. my mom got tuomas to start crying 😭dad plan worked, she showed glee and joy for once :)
