What features are missing that you want in the next model?

Finally! A reviewer cutting a demo with common two-bys and 3/4 sheetgoods. Thank you for your practical demonstration and good sense. Your vid helped me see what the saw can do (think I'm gonna add one to my box). Thanks for a clear review!👍

*Works great **MyBest.Tools** . Little lacking in power. You just have to cut a little slower. Compare to Rockwell pretty similar experience but cheaper price tag for this one. Love the lightest. Cuts accurately too.*

Tradesman 30 years, have a corded ryobi, but I bought this one the hp and it's brilliant my mate genuinely took his Makita home in defeated embarrassment.
At the same time I also renewed the sds and jigsaw for the hp range these really are another level

Went from the the 5.5 to this and it’s a world of a difference for me it’s an amazing saw and super quiet.

My wife purchased this saw for me and I have been using it for a few months now. I like the saw and it cuts well, very smooth cuts and while i have heard some people getting the saw with some minor deflection on the blade out of the box (workshoaddict) l so far haven't had this problem.
I will say though that compared to other saws, it seriously lacks stability because of the stamped plate. If this was say a thicker magnesium plate and all metal adjustments then i would argue the saw is nearly perfect. I haven't been able to collect much dust with it either though so there's another minor complaint.
Other than these issues though it cuts great and has way more power than i expected.
Going forward if they fix these issues then this will seriously start leaning more towards a pro saw rather than a DIY (eyeballing the craftsman v20 brush-less circular saw)

I use it with the Kreg Accu-Cut and Rip-Cut the LED light is perfect. No need for a laser... Nice unit.

Any idea on the dims of the channel on the bottom of the plate? Looks made for a track but no idea which one it would fit

Best time to get deal on ryobi. Hours and hours of research from Hillti to bauer. I think hp is for me!

I have the Dewalt 60v circular saw...with one battery. When it dies, I'm requesting the client's outlet access so I can run a corded tool from their home to my now-moved-closer cutting table. I have a few Ryobi non-HP tools. I have used my brother-inlaw's non-HP 5.5" saw with my standard 4aH battery and it tended to bog down on cross cuts. More of a hassle on that smaller saw. This HP circular saw seems to fit the bill for me to have an extra saw on hand and ready to perform to either finish the day out or to use while charging the 60v. Still in a pickle to buy this HP saw as a bare tool and use my current non-HP batteries or just get a second 60v Dewalt battery. I know others prefer to keep close to a battery platform, I'm not too bothered by that. Ryobi HP seems their way of going pro-sumer and maybe more. Thank you very much for this video. I also subscribed.

Did you take out the battery before changing the blade? That is a major safety violation if you did not. It looks like you left the battery on but I am not 100% sure.

What are your thoughts on using this orientation of the saw blade side relative to, what you are use to?

How does the connect terminal affect performance it doesn't 🤔

I thought this sucked bad, But I found out the correct battery makes it work like a champ...

It's a good saw. I own it. Seems there's a lot of mudslinging BS out there about this saw, but for my money, 179 including a 5AH battery (129 tool only), there's not a better value out there.

Not sure if it is the camera lens, but watching the cuts towards the camera the saw shoe has a curve in it.

I bought a Ryobi corded circular saw for guaranteed power output specifically because of everyone’s review on the older model. I’m skeptical still, but I probably won’t buy it hence because I already have one. Is my corded saw annoying? Heck yes! But like I said, guaranteed power output is the reason I went corded.

I've got the older 7.25 brushless circ saw. Do you think this one is worth getting over keeping the old?
