About this Nepal travel vlog:
I decided to hit the road for my first big adventure in Nepal. I went by taxi, tourist bus, tempo, and local bus over two days to get to the birthplace of Lord Buddha. I had many fun and crazy experiences, saw beautiful landscapes, and made new friends along the way! I really enjoyed this road trip vlog and hope you do too!

About traveling in Nepal:
Land travel in Nepal offers a unique and adventurous experience, especially when traveling between major cities like Kathmandu and Lumbini. The road journey from Kathmandu to Lumbini spans approximately 300 kilometers. The route passes through picturesque landscapes, including rolling hills, dense forests, and small villages, giving travelers a glimpse into rural Nepali life.
The road to Lumbini combines paved highways and gravel sections, which can be bumpy, especially during the monsoon season. While the infrastructure has improved in recent years, the journey still requires patience and flexibility. The best way to travel is by bus, with both local and tourist buses available, offering a more budget-friendly option.
Along the way, travelers can stop at various towns and villages for refreshments and to enjoy local delicacies. The route offers a peaceful and scenic experience, contrasting with the busy streets of Kathmandu. Land travel in Nepal not only connects destinations but also immerses travelers in the country's natural beauty and cultural richness.

About Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha:
Lumbini, located in the Rupandehi District of Nepal, is renowned as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became the Buddha. It is one of the holiest sites in Buddhism and attracts pilgrims and tourists worldwide. According to tradition, Siddhartha was born in Lumbini in the 6th century B.C., under a sal tree, while his mother, Queen Maya, was en route to her parental home. The sacred garden where he was born is now a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the Maya Devi Temple marking the exact spot of his birth.
The site is surrounded by several monuments, stupas, and monasteries built by various Buddhist countries, each contributing its cultural touch. The peace and tranquility of the area are enhanced by its serene ponds and lush greenery. Lumbini also houses the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BCE to mark the spot of Buddha's birth.
In addition to its religious significance, Lumbini is a center for Buddhist studies and practice. It attracts people of all faiths seeking inspiration from Buddha's teachings of peace, compassion, and mindfulness. The area continues to be an essential place for spiritual reflection and pilgrimage.

I took a 30 hr bus ride from Kathmandu to Varanasi. We changed buses at the border. I had to climb on top of the second bus and strap my backpack to it's roof. (It was suppose to be 24 hrs, but the bus in India broke down several times) Dramamine saved me! That was many years ago. I loved watching these videos of Nepal and seeing what has changed and what is still the same. (a lot) Thanks for sharing your travels with us all!

In recent podcast that Mr narendra modi did, he told the interviewer that Gautam buddha was born in India. I don't know why there is a need to lie about this. There are many great beings that were born in india, he could have used krishna, rama, rama krishna paramhansa, vivekananda an an example.

These beings are a gift to the world and instead of binding them to a certain geography and we, not only india, all of us can be inspired and learn from their wisdom and use them for a greater good, for humanity.

I like the way you present yourself. very calm demeanor. Keep it up.
Also a tip while you're in Nepal: There is road construction going everywhere throughout the country all at once. So, even if you want to experience the raw vibes I'd still suggest you to take planes where possible. You can travel via good roads after 2 or 3 years. Hope to see you then too. Have a great time.
