6:00 "A Dime a Dozen" not a dime in a dozen. "A dime a dozen" is a saying that indicates that something is cheap, and readily available. You are using this phrase in the wrong context here. The phrase you are looking for here is "One in a million".

I have my first 26 listings up. I'm enjoying the work and the learning. I love finding a design. I research to make sure it's not in use. I take it into Kittl for some tweeks. I really enjoy it.
I have no sales and I don't really expect much until i have 100 or so listings and beyond. I visualize that i will make 250K a year eventually. I keep that thought in my head. I don't care about the competition. theres a million Etsy stores who cares. Plug on.

Hi Hannah, as before, I am amazed at how clearly and intelligently you see the business world, business model and market place! Your final comments on who will survive in 2024 is, in my humble opinion, spot on. I always describe it to clients as "when everyone has copied everybody else, and everything is as saturated as can be, what is Left?" You gave the answer, systems, organization, consistency, management by exception, scaleability and above all, creativity to stay ahead of everyone else and to continue to provide a USP vs the competition. I don't come across many people, including our clients, that have such a clear (often common sense) view of business. Keep it up! Tks!

Thanks for sharing, Hannah! I just started on Etsy focusing on home decor a couple of months ago and it is so far so good. I think personalized items is still going to rock in 2024 ;) gonna try with ornaments in different materials next year.

Girl Im dying here! The BS running through the etsy gurus community is hard to take. Hard to trust. Ive spent sooo much money to get started and so many programs, Im 300 items in, niched, and still only 12 sales. keep me going girl, keep me going!! Ps I had one of the first handmade soap companies on Etsy back in the day, bought our farm did us good. But I cant do the physical stuff anymore and now im in the POD side of things.

My first three years on Etsy were wonderful and full of growth, and then the last two of really plummeted. I just feel like I can't compete with oversaturated resellers, claiming to be handmade.

I'm new to Etsy. Because I'm not in a position to quit my other job at this time I'm actually considering scaling back for quarter 4. I want to build my business the right way and that means also having the time to dedicate. Hopefully by this time next year I'll be in a better position. I'm sure that I could kill myself and ramp up for this quarter but I'm afraid it would be at the cost of customers. So I just want to say that while building your business is important it's also important to keep in mind the level of service that you're able to provide along with your unique products.

Always love the raw blunt truths that you bring, which many seem to not want to hear, but it truly is the reality. My hope is that the saturation will lessen just a bit as new people with false expectations drop through the cracks, but I think that'll take a lot of time if at all. As far as business success, I think you're right in that it comes down to the willingness to adapt and find ways to grow within the changing times. Of course that's been true with business since the early beginnings. I do also feel though, that some of the lower sales pain many are feeling are due to the new platforms that have gained traction, like Temu. It's a differrent ball game there, but I know people around me who have bought their last number of shirts from there dirt cheap :/

Thanks @Hannah for another valuable and powerful video! You ooze so much authenticity and genuineness.
It's been almost 5 months since I started my Etsy biz (digital products), and while it's slowly growing (with the help of Etsy ads), I get surprised at its mood swings.
Some days, I'd see a flood of sales come through, and then suddenly a drought for a week. Would you mind covering more intel on digital products in your future vids? Thanks a tonne 🙏

We are frustrated - the last 2 years we have achieved sales of over $ 1 million each year on Etsy but this year we are down by 24% - that hurts and we cannot really put our finger on the reasons why - Love your channel Hannah it must give a lot of Etsy sellers hope listening to your sound advice - Keep up the good work x

I'm finding with my handmade wooden lights that here are a lot of CNC made lights out there now and look to be made on mass in a factory so obviously cut down their prices lot! I just hope that the Etsy buyers see through it and can see handmade from factory made.

I quit there when fees hit 20% and the commercial garbage crowded me out.

Hey Hannah, thank you for great content. Very interested about your work with the team, like do you have a person who make things, who pack orders and how you built those processes with time. Do you give access to your Etsy shop to anyone? I am just worried that Etsy will suspend a shop if there are a few people working on one shop from different locations.

I’m trying to increase my sales but it is still 12 and I’m keep going to add more lists into my account. I spent to much money on Ads, trying to drive traffic with social medias as well, but it looks like not gonna work and this is really discouraging tho
