The grouping utility you mention at minute 42 that allows selecting groups of objects to simplify aligning I did convert to work with HCGS and released on Script-Central Special Edition. Like you though, I tend to align things manually. But it can still be useful to have.

What you have there is the version of HCGS that was bundled with ShoeBox. ShoeBox was not an Apple product, it was a Seven Hills Software product, but because there was no HCGS equivalent of Mac HyperCard Player, ShoeBox shipped with a pared down version of HCGS that did not include Apple’s stacks. The full HCGS included a number of stacks similar to Mac HyperCard.

HyperCard even being on the IIGS is so cool. It was one of the reasons I decided to pick up a IIGS.

Interesting, I never realized that HCIIGS doesn't pre-fill the handler like HC for Mac does. Usually there would have been an empty mouseUp handler in that script editor.

At minute 58 you talk about trying to change the background of an existing card. You cannot do that. You can use script to cycle through the card fields and buttons and copy/paste them into a new card in the background you want. You can also export the card image and then import it into the new card. Not ideal to do this though especially if the scripts refer to objects by ID since those will not be retained.
