In Tony's defense, he warned Davie multiple times before letting him in the hotel room that the game wasn't for him. Davie practically begged Tony to let him in so Tony was going to be covered either way because he already factored in the worst case scenario.

How can anyone be on Daveys side here? Anyone else who isn’t Tony’s friend wouldn’t have been given multiple warnings. He tried to warn Davey that he would lose everything, that the type of player was out of his league, and still Davey chose to play at a game ran by Mafia members. He was a degenerate gambler with issues, he was told he was in over his head and then STOLE from Tony. If he was anyone else he’d be dead
