Karisa Ashland had a beautiful family with a husband and two daughters in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She did everything right – exercised, ate well and had her yearly mammogram. By all accounts, everything seemed perfect.

Then she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and was suddenly asking ‘Why me?’ Instead of helping her daughters with homework, she now had to find answers about whether her daughters would be more susceptible to breast cancer.
