Veteran CPM leader Sitaram Yechury died on Thursday at the age of 72 after battling prolonged illness.

Sitaram Yechury was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on September 10 and was being treated for acute respiratory tract infection at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla shared an old picture of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh hosting an iftar party at his residence in 2009, which was attended by then Chief Justice of India KG Balakrishnan among others.
