There is nothing like old school guitar playing and singing.

“I was almost feeling but I couldn’t let on” I feel u bro. Lost many things in life cause of my tendency to bottle up my pain. I’m on the train now with u bro, we all are. Heading to a happier place where people like us can live

I was trying to figure out which song Mike Russo learned the instrumental from on his rendition of Back Water Blues and glad I stumbled on this version.

Kenjikent, "Like" doesn't come close to describing what I'm experiencing now!  I've been listening to and playing Lead Belly's music for 47 years and I thought I at least KNEW about all of his recordings.  NYC, 1947?  Where did this come from?  I'm looking at  the discography in the 1992 ed. of the Wolfe/Lornell biography and I don't see this song listed in any of the1947 sessions.  I surely never heard this recording before (though it sounds similar to his 1935 "Fort Worth and Dallas Blues)".  While I'm at it, I might as well ask where the 1968 "private recording" of Rev. Gary Davis doing "Old Drunk Sally" (which I also never heard before) came from.  Thank you many times over for posting these masterpieces.  I feel reborn!!
