The Holy Names - A Matchless Gift

The kirtan meditation clears all tensions in the mind and heart. This process of meditation purifies one’s heart of all the dust that has accumulated there. If a person follows this process, he will gradually become more and more purified.

If someone once utters the holy name of the Lord, or if it penetrates his mind or enters his ear, which is the channel of aural reception, that holy name will certainly deliver him from material bondage, whether vibrated properly or improperly, with correct or incorrect grammar, and properly joined or in separate parts, hence it is the matchless gift which can give eternal happiness.

About His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada :
Born on 1 September 1896, in a humble house in Calcutta, he was named Abhay Charan, “one who is fearless, having taken shelter at Lord Krishna’s feet.” In 1922, when he first met his spiritual master, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, he was requested by him to spread the message of Lord Chaitanya in the English language. From 1950 onward, he lived in the holy town of Vrindavan, where he began his commentary and translation work of the Sanskrit work Bhagavata Purana (Srimad Bhagavatam).
