To get it out you just screw off the black ring on the top then it should slide out easily.

The shade has been attached upside down for space reduction.

Look in at the place where you put the light bulb. See that black ring with the grooves?
Twist and loosen. It comes off.
Remove the shade. Flip shade reattach threaded black ring to keep shade in place.

Also, even if this was the case, it’s not like all our hands are the same size I know how to open it you just unscrew it but still and you shouldn’t be to canceling a lamp because of your opinion it should be a whole bunch of opinions
