as a furry i can confirm beastars wasnt the reason i became one by any chance, but even before i was one i thought it was an amazing anime. loved the style.

Edit: and the last part is very true, take bo burnham for example. You can like his media but if you aren't a fan of the transphobic jokes and like his music that isnt really a bad thing. Or the jk Rowling stuff. This kind of drama can happen anywhere and in any fandom, and it's up to you what your interests are. Liking something doesnt mean you're just instantly part of a toxic fandom or you support a bad creator.

Sadly agree with the commentary on the One Piece fandom. So many so called "fans" berating people for not watching it like dude. It's a pirate story that's really fucking long. Chill. If people would rather not watch One Piece for whatever reason let them vibe. I personally love it but leave people who don't like it or don't want to watch it alone.

And that's not even getting into the insane debates over power levels which I think ridiculous.
