Grandpa always told me to take my car on the highway at-least once a week. Miss him.

I always liked when my dad said we're going to clean some carbon out of this thing and I knew then we were going to go fast as hell and it was going to be fun😂

Cop: Why were you going 80 in a residential neighborhood?
Me: Scotty Kilmer said it’s good for my engine!

I'm Italian American and drive a Mustang GT. I do Italian Tune Ups a lot. 😁

The owners manual for my direct injected 2013 Mazda CX5 says to every once in awhile, redline every gear (paraphrasing) to burn excess carbon off the valves.

Catalytic converters can usually be rejuvenated by running the motor at high RPM under load. Assuming no prolonged periods of due maintenance, the number 1 killer of catalytic converters is extended idling and slow speeds. Show your cat some love by taking it out on a long interstate drive at least once a month.

"Why were you speeding?"
"Doctor's orders"
"Understandable, have a nice day."

"It may not be politically correct, buy I'm gonna say it anyways."

I LOVE SCOTTY! WHATEVER HE SAYS ABOUT CARS, IT'S 100 ACCURATE AND ANY ENGINEER OR MECHANIC THAT SAYS OTHERWISE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

Please don't have Irish Coffee when doing your Italian Tune-up.

The one thing he forgot, is to warm the engine oil up before going to higher speeds and full throttle.

Every time i buy a car i'll buy some injector cleaner, warm up the engine well, and only drive it fast when the engine is tuely warmed up.

I'm doing this with all cars and some people don't know why my car are more responsive.

It applies to the old stuff, too. My 71 Chevy C10 sure did love getting an italian tuneup! A level 1 version, anyway.

I still need to run that thing up to 70mph at some point. That'll really clean the carbon out of it. 250 I6, 3 on the Tree, so I've never gone more than 55 or so with it. It will do 70 but I don't ask it to.

I work extremely local. When I drive to work most times the engine barely gets to operating temp. Occasionally I'll just sit parked and Rev the engine to 3k rpms just to burn off any anomalies.
