I wish they’d make Medieval 3 or Empire 2, but I love Warhammer 3, currently playing with 100 mods to make it more challenging and basically mimic all the mechanics of historical total war like population and stuff

Medieval 3 or Empire 2 on a brand new engine would have saved CA, revitalized its finances, and improved its relationship with both SEGA and, especially, the fan base. The fans are so desperate that 2 million TW players bought Manor Lords as it was the closest thing to what they wanted.

The issue is that CA either does not want to or lacks the talent to develop a new engine. And a new engine is crucial for addressing the issues and bugs that the player base has endured for over a decade now, basically since Rome 2

Pharaoh was a joke. Who EVER thought that anyone wanted Bronze Age Total War? That era has nothing to offer.

Just do Medieval 3. FFS that is the historical title everyone is waiting for.

Who cares about these creatively bankrupt publishers/developers. We got heaps of classics to enjoy for the rest of our lives, cheer up sire.

Been replaying medieval 2 and having a blast. Doing stainless steel sub mods as well as enjoying the adored Dived and Conquer lotr conversion mod. The modding community lives on, while creative assembly can go cry to their shareholders!

Gotta say all your guesses seem pretty off and a little bias. You seem to be an old historical total war fan, I am too. But I don’t think they are gonna make a Rome, Shogun or Medieval 3 rn. They’ve lost a lot of money over the last few years. The rumored Warhammer 40k and Star Wars total war sound more likely as those games would probably share many similarities gameplay wise as they are sci-fi settings with ranged combat and strong melee characters with magically like powers. And those franchises are absolutely massive, it would be smart for CA to go down that route as it offers the most money. And they are a big business so of course they want money haha. But still love your videos!

Remaster is not the answer its just lazy work for CA to grab some small amount of money and its not worth my time and money to spend on such things. Empire 2 Medieval 3 or a Victorian total war that is the only way for me to return to Total war. No fantasy no saga and no remaster. The fact am having fun in Manor lords more then total war speaks alot.

At least I wish they made a Remastered of Medival 2 (like they did with Rome 1) so Modders can give us Mods that could keep up us busy for a couple of years (like War of the ring or Stainless Steel/ SHIPP)

Something you guys have to understand, is that even though you guys are hardcore fans, it doesn’t mean you’re in the majority.

Most total war players want fantasy (warhammer, lotr, Star Wars)

Those sell, they attract audiences that usually wouldn’t have bought there game.

For a basic historical game, it all relies on them doing a good job with the game and counting on there already established fan base to support/buy the game.

A Star Wars or lord of the rings nerd will shill for the game, people who never played total war will play it just to check out the newest “Star Wars game” etc.

The chances they will go in a historical route instead of an already established franchise is slim to none and that’s just something you guys need to accept.

The reason warhammer has so many players compared to the others is because warhammer is a loved franchise outside of the total war brand.

Making a star wars game/lotr, etc. is literally hitting an easy button for them.

I really loved Shogun 2 so I really hope they make Shogun 3 in the near future. Shogun 2 was nearly perfect imo so even a remaster with improved graphics would be enough for me.

The current warscape engine's dependency on the provinces system is to blame for the stale feeling of all recent total war games. They never gave us something different on the map for 10 years
