Black Lives Matter action at General Conference

RMN board director, Rev. Dr. Pamela Lightsey, led a powerful disruption today at General Conference to declare that #BlackLivesMatter - trans black lives, queer black lives, poor black lives, all black lives matter. Rev. Dr. Lightsey and the rest of the group sent the message that the church must deal with its history and present engagement in white supremacy, its silence in the face of police brutality, and its ongoing commitment to homphobia and transphobia which most dramatically affects people of color who face intersecting realities of oppression. #ItsTime
