November was the worst | 1 star jar reads
Показать описание
It's been a while, and I am going to go into why in the video (stay tuned to the end to learn about why November sort of sucked...not only with the reading).
November turned out to be my most disappointing reading month yet (and that's really saying something)! In this video, I'm taking a look at the three books I picked from my 1-star review jar back at the end of October, for November reading. So far the challenge has proved to be fun, but sometimes risky. It can deliver some hidden gems (and has) but often highlights why these books ended up with reviews on the more scathing side over on Goodreads in the first place.
Spoiler alert: this time, the jar didn’t really do me any favours!
As ever, I'm not going to hold back on my honest feelings about the books, did they meet the hype, or leave me feeling as though I'd missed the point (especially where more favourable reviews were concerned)? Whether you’re curious about these books or just enjoy a good rant, you're not going to want to miss this!
If you’ve ever picked up a book that failed to live up to its hype or been burned by a low-rated recommendation, you’ll relate to this month’s reading woes. Have you read any of these? Do you agree with my thoughts? Let’s chat in the comments about your 1-star reads and whether you’ve braved a similar jar challenge!
